This spring, something extraordinary is happening.

As the days stretch longer and the light tips in our favour, plants across every garden are responding to an astronomical event. Their internal clocks have been waiting for this very moment, and as the hours of daylight begin to overtake the dark, buds are opening, roots are stirring, and the whole garden is leaning into new life.

Today is the vernal equinox, the moment the year tilts towards light, and there is a feeling that comes with it that we all recognise. That morning when you step outside and the air feels different, fuller, charged with possibility.

At last, the season is here. And at the studio, we’re right in the thick of it.

Here’s what’s been keeping us busy.

We are proud to mark another year as an SGLD Registered Practice, reaffirming our commitment to the highest standards in garden and landscape design.

Ann-Marie’s brand new book, A Year of Colour, is now available to order, a joyful, season-by-season guide to creating bold and beautiful gardens, straight from her own Hampshire plot.

There’s further cause for celebration: Ann-Marie has been recognised in the

Hortweek 100 Leading Women in UK Horticulture 2026, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We’re also honoured to continue our commitment as a Gold Partner of Perennial, supporting the wider horticultural community.

As the season truly begins, we look forward to sharing more with you come summer.

With warm regards,

Ann-Marie, Mary, Penny and Lisa
