“Every Winter Has Its Spring”

– H Tuttle

Ann-Marie, Mary, Penny, and Lisa would like to wish you, your families, friends, and loved ones a very happy holiday and all best wishes for 2026.

–

We also wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your support throughout 2025. It has been a challenging year for us as a practice and but thanks to your continued trust and encouragement, we have worked through it and now look ahead to 2026 with renewed energy.

–

As is our tradition, instead of sending cards we will be making a donation to National Youth Arts Trust in honour of Ann-Marie’s late husband Jules who sadly passed away in October.

–

Our studio will close at 5pm on Friday 19th December 2025 and reopen on Monday 5th January 2026.

–

We look forward to creating more inspiring outdoor spaces with you upon our return to the studio in the new year.

Warmest regards,

Ann-Marie, Mary, Penny and Lisa

Highlights of 2025

Despite its challenges, 2025 brought some wonderful moments — here are a few of our favourites.

Ann-Marie Powell's New Book shown within a planting bed

Ann-Marie’s new book is set to launch in early 2026, the book has been a true labour of love. Photographed by Julie Skelton, it offers an in-depth exploration of how to create bold, vibrant and biodiverse gardens through the ever-changing tapestry of the seasons.

What makes this project particularly special to us is that it draws its inspiration directly from Ann-Marie’s very own garden.

Pre-Order here!

We’re thrilled to be part of the British Library’s groundbreaking ‘Gardens of the Future’ exhibition, launching May 2025.

As one of twelve international designers selected for this visionary project, we’re crafting a future-focused family garden design that reimagines outdoor spaces for the next 50 years.

Our contribution will explore how gardens can adapt to climate change while fostering family connections and wellbeing, featured in both the exhibition’s companion book and the King’s Library Tower gallery display.

We are so proud to announce that our Contemporary Courtyard Garden: Maybush has been shortlisted for the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers Awards 2026.

This garden reflects everything the AMPG studio stands for – vibrant, year-round planting to support pollinators with bold, architectural elements creating distinct spaces throughout the garden.

Bring on the SGLD Awards Ceremony!

We were thrilled to be a part of the “UNEARTHED: The Power of Gardening” Exhibition at the British Library earlier this year. As one of ten award-winning garden designers selected to reimagine garden styles fifty years into the future, we created the ‘Family Garden’ because gardens, after all, are for everyone.

Although the exhibition has now closed, you can read all about it the book Gardens of the Future: Unique Visions for a Changing World

Substack

Last year, Ann-Marie launched her Substack newsletter, where she shares gardening insights, seasonal observations, studio gardens, visits and the realities of tending her own plot – the successes and the failures alike.

For Ann-Marie, writing, photographing and sharing her garden experiences has become a genuine source of joy. If her words can inspire readers to dig a little deeper into their own gardening endeavours, she considers it a resounding success.
